The higher the quality level of recycled PET flakes, the higher the profit, so how to improve the quality level of recycled flakes? The quality of the processed recycled bottle flakes is mainly classified by three aspects: humidity, PVC content, and characteristic viscosity, which means that only when these three aspects reach the corresponding grade standard can we make the corresponding qualified products.
The Humidity of Recycled PET Flakes
Moisture refers to the moisture content, and definitely, the less moisture it contains, the better. Customers are recommended to equip with dewatering and drying equipment, such as a plastic chips dryer machine. If you want to reduce more moisture, you can use the horizontal dryer with a drying tube, this machine can dry the moisture to within 5%.
In addition, caustic soda should not be used too much during the cleaning process, it will ablate the surface fibers of the bottles, resulting in the residual liquid on the surface of the bottles not easily rinsed clean, and the rinsing water attached to the bottles is difficult to shake dry.
Customers are advised to use caustic soda in conjunction with a professional bottle cleaning powder, it can reduce the amount of caustic soda. At the same time, the cleaning powder can play a role in removing oil, dirt, and glue, but also to protect the plastic surface fibers, so that the cleaned bottles are cleaner, easier to rinse and the water is easier to shake dry.
PVC Content of Recycled Bottle Flakes
As we all know, PVC in used recycled PET bottles mainly exists in the form of label paper. Since PVC and PET are the same sink material, PVC must be removed before crushing and processing to ensure the quality of recycled PET flakes.
The label paper can be removed with a plastic label removing machine with a 98% or higher de-labeling rate. Then to reduce the PVC content more thoroughly, you can add cleaning powder to the hot washing tank, and the hot washing tank can remove the residual sticky glue on the bottle sheet and thus produce higher-quality bottle sheets.
Characteristic Viscosity of Recycled PET Flakes
Many manufacturers overuse caustic soda or wash in a PET flakes hot washing machine for too long in order to wash away the oil and sticky glue on the bottle flakes, this way leads to the change of physical properties of the bottle flakes and the decrease of viscosity and it is not good for the subsequent drawing.
Therefore, during the cleaning process, the amount of caustic soda should be reduced and the time should be controlled. The time of the bottle piece in the hot washing pot should not exceed 45 minutes.
